
Born in the Basque Country in 1965, he lives and works in Barcelona. He graduated from Universidad de Barcelona in Fine Arts, specialising in Design. He also holds a Post-graduate in Architecture and Design of Ephemeral Installations at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. He lives in Barcelona where he combines his work as a designer with teaching at the ELISAVA School of Design. He currently collaborates as a designer with a variety of companies and institutions, while at the same time carrying out experimental and research works that have been shown both in individual and group exhibitions; “Safe” exhibition at New York’s MOMA, “Strangely familiar: design and everyday life”, Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, USA, Exhibition, Royal Institute of British Architects London. “Living in Motion” Vitra Design Museum Germany, as well as projects appearing in renowned journals and international publications. He designed the medals for the Barcelona World Swimming Championships 2003 and was responsible for packaging Madrid's bid for the 2012 Olympics. His Basic House piece has been acquired for the MOMA museum in New York. Designer of the “Sed" (Thirst) exhibition for Expo Zaragoza 2008.
