Founded in 1893, the Nordic century-old furniture brand Garsnas is a family-owned company that has been operating since 2003 with Anna and Dag Klockby and ÅkeAxelsson in the Skeppsbron region of southern Sweden and has an exhibition hall in Stockholm.
Since the 19th century, each generation has produced its own version of the Emma armchair, which is the best interpretation of the classic furniture of our time, the tradition of our care, creating a different craftsmanship.
High-quality wooden furniture has become the focus of attention from the very beginning. In the joinery process, the craft has been passed down from one generation to the next. Garsnas maintains a continuous partnership with many leading designers, and the integration of craftsmen and designers extends the range of possibilities. When ÅkeAxelsson designed his first Garsnas chair in the early 1960s, it marked the beginning of an important and lasting partnership that produced many design classics and new designs that have produced more than 100 chairs to date. The Garsnas collection is built on long-term, sustainability and holistic details.
Garsnas has a factory in Skåne Gärsnäs, where the birth of every piece of furniture is a journey of discovery. Travel through time and space to understand the history of the craft and the future of design. Because we have to make furniture for people, we will never stop thinking. Never stop asking, never stop wondering. We must always look for, try, fail and improve until every angle is considered, every detail. This is how Gärsnäs manufactures furniture. With classic craftsmanship, quality materials, and endless curiosity.
