From her childhood on the west coast of Norway, they can be seen in biographies, whose rugged terrain is carved by natural forces, clearly marking her work. At the core, her highly praised stone lamp is a good example. Her growing experience has also aroused great interest in traditional crafts.Importantly, Klock's works can also be viewed from a moral point of view. In today's design world, there are many discussions about social responsibility and sustainability. Both are indispensable elements in her design process, not just catchphrases. The origin and history of her materials are important to her, and how the objects she designs will be made. As a result, she participated in the project for refugee women, unemployed youth and prisoners.Runa Klock lives in Oslo and studies at the Oslo Academy of Fine Arts. In addition to the design objects, her multidisciplinary and collaborative practices also conceived food packaging, exhibitions and stage scenery. The Lily lamp she designed with Hallgeir Homstvedt was her first Abstracta project.Hallgeir Homstvedt is the true master of subtle gesture idioms. The low-key features of his work give the material a chance to express itself - just like the clay of his balanced vase and the marble of his Groove Plate, he was designed for Muuto. Lily and Runa Klock created Abstracta with the same insignificant restraint and tactility.
