Questo divano ha introdotto un sistema rivoluzionario per assemblare i cuscini e i braccioli alla base. I cuscini sono semplicemente infilati un telaio in tubolare metallico che garantisce rigidità e resistenza all’uso del divano. Basamento in multistrato accoppiato con fibra e rivestito. Schienali e braccioli: struttura portante interna in tubolare metallico verniciato. Ogni elemento (schienale, sedile, bracciolo) è imbottito e rivestito singolarmente. Imbottitura in poliuretano espanso indeformabile a densità differenziate e fodera in fibra. Totalmente sfoderabile, ad eccezione della versione in pelle. Piedini in metallo.

In 1947 a group of technicians and among them Aldo Bai, Pio Reggiani, Aldo Barassi, coming from Pirelli and a young architect named Marco Zanuso began to experiment the use of foam rubber and elastic tapes for the furniture brand. Inspirer of this operation is Marco Zanuso, for sure one of the very first architects involved with the systems of products industrialization, from application of new materials to new technologies.
