Combining both of Wildspirit’s preferred materials, Moon Lounger is a low lounge chair“with a blink to the avant-garde design of Charles Eames.” With its bright leather upholstery and its dark wood frame, Moon Lounger is like Saturn in a deep dark galactic universe.The curve of the legs gives the chair various profiles depending on one’s point of view.Always seductive,the base“provides a soft feminine touch”with its graceful parabolic arcs.All of Moon Lounger’s shapes recall space:the ovals and ellipticals of the frame and cushions put me in mind of orbit trajectories and spinning planets.

Gerd followed a pure technical formation in an industrial environment context.Later he got several degrees in art,interior design, light consultant and sculpture art.The combination of his technical background and his feeling for creation and art makes him a more complete designer with not only an eye for the visual aspect but also the technical part.His inspiration comes from absorption of daily visual and emotional incentives.Designing objects and interiors is not experienced as an as signment according to Gerd,but more like a distillation and fine tuning of ideas already present in his mind.
