Architect and designer Concetta Giannageli imbues the objects she creates with her experience as a cultural-educational designer. The outcome is designing which studies the influence of maieutic processes, that sees creative expression as a general approach to the creation and production of beauty and experiments the intersecting of artisan techniques and new technology. Therefore, making a new object becomes an opportunity to experiment for a community of practice, producing new, surprising results arising from their preceding interrelations, verging on contemporary relational aesthetics. She has worked for Gregotti Associati International, Guido Canali Architetto, Prada, Villa Manin Centro d’Arte Contemporanea, Modidi…Creare Sostenibile. She is currently the head of Moroso’s creative team & prototyping department.
Agostino Moroso, with his wife, Diana, founded the Moroso company in 1952 with an artisanal approach to making sofas, armchairs and furnishing accessories. Their iconic designs have propelled them within the upholstered furniture market, with help from a long list of well known designers: Ron Arad, Patricia Urquiola, Ross Lovegrove, Konstantin Grcic, Alfredo H?berli, Toshiyuki Kita, Marcel Wanders and others. Each piece maintains a noticeable Moroso style while representing other cultures as well. Its international outlook has landed Moroso into the MoMA in New York, Le Palais de Tokyo, the Grand Palais in Paris.
