The rugs in the “Stone-wool” collection create a riverbed of smooth pebbles that adapt to long corridors. The irregular contours and colours offer myriad combinations for interiors, acting as stepping-stones for an imaginary stream.

Diego Fortunato

Diego Fortunato founded his first design studio in 1995 in Barcelona, his London design studio followed in 2011. The Argentinian-born designer’s lighting, urban furniture, rugs, upholstering, and limited edition objects reside between industrial design, sculpture and conceptual art.

Driven by a singular desire and a very creative background, Nani established nanimarquina in 1987 with a clear goal: to design unique and surprising handcrafted rugs for people to enjoy. The idea of blending contemporary design to traditional rugs was well received and soon nanimarquina embarked on the adventure of outsourcing production to those countries that offered cultural value and unlimited possibilities for rug craftsmanship.
