“Art is linked to what hasn’t been done yet, to what has not been created yet. It is something outside of you, in the future, something to search for.” Eduardo Chillida
The artwork of Eduardo Chillida (1924-2002) represents one of the greatest artistic accomplishments of the late 20th century.
Chillida’s artistic nuances have been faithfully translated into rugs, all handmade using various techniques and fibres, such as wool, silk, and hand-spun mohair, to create different textures, showcasing the essence of his work.

Eduardo Chillida Juantegui, or Eduardo Txillida Juantegi in Basque, (10 January 1924 – 19 August 2002) was a Spanish Basque sculptor notable for his monumental abstract works.
Driven by a singular desire and a very creative background, Nani established nanimarquina in 1987 with a clear goal: to design unique and surprising handcrafted rugs for people to enjoy.
The idea of blending contemporary design to traditional rugs was well received and soon nanimarquina embarked on the adventure of outsourcing production to those countries that offered cultural value and unlimited possibilities for rug craftsmanship.
