alumi combi
Design Nina Jobs,
2017
Nina Jobs designed the Alumi Combi and the Alumi Combi Light to encourage colleagues to hold meetings as they wish. The screen can be used both as a sound absorber and as a writing board, mounted on wheels for easy carrying. The multi-function tablet has the same understated appearance as the other sound-absorbing screens in the Alumi series, making them harmonious.
One side of the Alumi Combi's screen is decorated with a low-key patterned felt fabric or Blazer fabric. The other side can face the writing board ra bulletin board - or both, for example, the upper part consists of the lower half of the writing board and the bulletin board. Half of them can also be decorated. The Alumi Combi Light is a small version with one side entirely composed of writing boards. Like the Alumi Combi, the other side is covered with a low-key patterned felt fabric or Blazer fabric.
Certain designers never fail to create self-evident things – objects that appear as though they have merely been nudged toward their natural form. Nina Jobs is one of those designers. Nothing is ever missing, nor is any feature ever superfluous. Naturally, this goes for every product she has designed for Abstracta.
Jobs is based in Stockholm and has an international clientele. She began her career as a graphic designer before being drawn to three-dimensional objects, whereupon she moved to Paris to study product design at the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs.
