Mario & Claudio Bellini

Mario Bellini was born in the Italian city of Milan in 1935 and studied architecture at the Polytechnic of Milan. He was a professor at the Istituto Superiore di Disegno Industriale in Venice between 1962-1965 and design consultant at Olivetti from 1963 to 1991. Bellini started designing his own products and furniture after 1963 and founded the architecture and design studio "Studio Bellini" in 1973. He also worked as a design consultant for Renault between 1978-1982 and was editor in chief of the magazine "Domus" from 1986 to 1991.

Claudio Bellini lives and works in Milan where he graduated in architecture and industrial design from the prestigious Polytechnic of that city. His father, Mario Bellini, has been a source of inspiration since childhood. The two collaborated in the development of the HeadLine office chair for Vitra in 2006.
