Design Jasper Morrison, 2012
Polypropylene, chromed tubular steel

With HAL, Jasper Morrison has created a reinterpretation of the multifunctional shell chair and a varied chair range with a distinctly contemporary appearance. The shape of HAL's shell ensures plenty of freedom of movement and the slightly flexible plastic makes many different sitting positions possible - even sideways and astride the chair. Because of this, HAL facilitates dynamic, ergonomic seating. The selection of bases, shell colors and fabric covers opens up a wide range of choices. HAL can be used in all kinds of environments - in the office, as well as in public spaces and in the home.

vitra

Vitra is a Swiss company dedicated to improving the quality of homes, offices and public spaces through the power of design. Following in the tradition of Charles & Ray Eames, who have influenced Vitra’s approach to sustainability in many ways, product longevity is central to the company’s contribution to sustainable development; short-lived styling is avoided at all costs. This can be seen most clearly in the classical pieces of furniture that have been used for decades, had several owners and have then even ended up as a part of a collection.
