Wonderful set of three vintage mid century Danish modern wooden toy viking figurines designed by Jacob Jensen for International Gift Corp, circa 1958. Constructed of modular, interchangeable parts, in an assortment of beautiful hardwoods (probably Teak, Birch, Ebony, and Maple). Some parts are loose and others are very firmly in place. I haven't disassembled them completely. In excellent vintage condition.

Jacob Jensen was a Danish industrial designer, best known for his work with Bang and Olufsen. Jensen was born in the Vesterbro area of Copenhagen in 1926. He left school after the seventh grade and completed training as an upholsterer. In 1947 he began working in his father's shop where he first started to design furniture.
