A clean, white modern surface combines with natural Ash wood ushering back the era of mid 60's modernism. A time that was just beginning to see the intentional mixing of elements of nature such as raw wood and products of modern production such as the white melamine laminate as shown. Design concepts themselves were also being mixed by designers like Soren Nissen & Ebbe Gehl. Notice the lean seemingly delicate stiletto leg design attaching to a stoic rectangle base. The body of Elroy is rectangular, clean and efficient in design. While concealing the contents of the credenza, Elroy's doors represent emerging technology on one side and natural elements on the other. This sort of mixing was daring at the time.
