Seyhan ozdemir(b.1975)and Sefer Caglar (b. 1973) met at the Fine Arts Faculty of Mimar Sinan University,where Seyhan was studying Architecture and Sefer,Interior Design.They both graduated in 1998 and founded Autoban in 2003 after gaining experience in the field to combine their fields of architecture,interior design,and product development under one name.The duo began developing product designs and launched their first collection in Paris in 2004.Two years later they opened the Autoban Gallery to showcase the best of these designs.The next year,they began their collaboration with De La Espada to produce their products,while maintaining creative control.

De La Espada, the design brand and manufacturer of the famous modern solid wood furniture, was founded in 1993 by Luis De Oliveira and Fatima De La Espada. From Porto and Madrid, and educated in London, the founder opened the first De La spada store in London in 1996. De La Espada's dedicated factory in Portugal specializes in the use of hand-crafted traditional architecture to create modern furniture with timeless appeal and warmth of wood. De La Espada aesthetics evolved from the influence of art and crafts movements, architects such as Tadao Ando, John Pawson and Alvaro Siza, and Scandinavian design in the 1950s.
De La Espada is an industrial design company that expresses luxury through perceptible materials and fascinating details. De La Espada focuses on the key components of home furniture: the restaurant, the living room, the bedroom and the study. All intelligent solid wood furniture combining tradition and innovation is produced at the De La Espada plant in northern Portugal. In addition, De La Espada has established close partnerships with many well-known designers to design a diverse range of furniture products and become the cornerstone of true interior design.
Prior to 2007, De La Espada has been a manufacturer/manufacturer/retailer of its own products, starting its second business in 2007 and working with a selection of top designers to create fully-fledged products. line.
