"This collection maintains a constant flow of similarity between it’s different members, as each object keeps the same minimal iconic shape at the front. The PAL stool is multi-functional –when flipped over it becomes a small side table then placed together with a second becomes an even larger coffee table; It also has a hollow in it’s side which works as a storage space."

Born in Cairo to Egyptian and English parents, and raised in Canada, Karim Rashid (b. 1960) now resides in New York managing his private design studio. With over 3,000 objects put into production, he has branched out into architecture and interiors with the Morimoto restaurant in Philadelphia and Semiramis Hotel in Athens. Rashid was an associate Professor of Industrial Design for 10 years and is now a frequent guest lecturer at universities and conferences globally. Rashid's award winning designs include the Garbo waste can and Oh Chair for Umbra, the bobble water bottle, and exhibitions for Deutsche Bank and Audi.
The Spanish company Vondom, headquartered in Palomar, is an internationally renowed producer of outdoor furniture, lighting, rugs and planters. Vodom is a dynamic company, highly innovative and always attentive to create the perfect equilibrium between design and technology. As a result it offers a series of products with strong characteritics, made of recycable materials and using innovative production methods. The company is collaborating with famous designers like Ramón Esteve who contrived numerous Vondom collections. All products are manufactured at the same production facility in Valencia, exported worldwide and sold by a growing number of authorized retailers. Vondom is regulary represented on all important international trade fairs: at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan, the Maison et Objet in Paris, the Hospitality Design in Las Vegas, the Furniture China in Shanghai, the Habitat in Valencia and many others.
