The tables work well on their own or in groups of two, three or moreThe aim of Thomas Bentzen’s Around table for Muuto is functional simplicity. The tables are meant to be stable, durable and the edge around the table keeps coffee cups and drinks right where they belong. As Bentzen says, “around thus forms a practical and welcoming place to gather.” Two different sizes are available: a larger coffee table and a smaller side table. The gap in the rim allows the table to hold a lamp and let the wire flow of the edge neatly. This makes the tables ideal for other uses such as bedside tables.

Thomas Bentzen is a Danish designer who graduated from the Copenhagen Design School in 2003. Bentzen founded his own design office in 2010 and is also part of the Copenhagen REMOVE design group. Before setting up his own office, Bentzen worked for five years at Danish firm Louise Campbell.
