Carl Öjerstam, born in 1971, industrial designer MFA, graduated from Konstfack School of Art & Design Stockholm in 1997 and has since then been working both as employed and freelancer. He has also been teching design in Sweden and abroad. Carl has received many awards and prizes, among others the design scholarship "On Picnic" by the design company NoPicnic for his degree project at Konstfack. Three of his products have received the international Red Dot Design Award. One of them is the easy chair Omni, produced by Materia and shown for the first time at Stockholm Furniture Fair 2008. Carls Design is also represented in several Swedish and International design books. Since 2002 Carl is working with his own company Carl Design AB -  where he creates design in a wide range, from kitchen products, furniture and lighting to packages and home electronics. He is also working with projects in architecture, exhibitions and retail. The clients are represented among smaller companies as well as world famous brands.
