The well thought out leg design is a skillful fusion of Mid-Century and contemporary forms.The platform Sideboard main body consists of three Walnut Wood veneer faced drawers and a combination of varying tone melamine faced drawers and doors.The body is slightly raised off the face of the leg,creating the space and distance between the two planes.By viewing the side angle you can see that within the leg structure itself varying plane heights are created with the width base rail being offset in height from the depth base rail.Depth and intrigue are created with these design techniques.In the late 50’s & early 60’s,Finn Juhl and Arne Vodder were among the first to experiment with formica and natural wood surfaces in modernist storage units
